About the Role
We are seeking a Production Material Specialist to support a leading manufacturer in the powersports and consumer goods industry. This role is ideal for detail‑oriented professionals with strong organizational and communication skills who thrive in a fast‑paced environment. You will play a key role in managing raw material tracking, reporting, and communication between cross‑functional teams, ensuring material flow aligns with production needs.
Job Description
As a Production Material Specialist, you will:
- Track raw material purchase order delivery status and update weekly WIP reports.
- Identify at‑risk materials and coordinate solutions with factories, mills, Production, and Design teams.
- Manage minimum order quantity (MOQ) and surcharge scenarios; maintain excess material lists.
- Monitor and maintain material KPIs, including On‑Time Delivery %, On‑Time Tracker %, Avg Days Late, and Surcharges Paid.
- Support Accounting with material debits/credits and surcharge entries in Net Suite.
- Assist Design & Development with greige bookings, seasonal material needs, and color developments.
- Communicate shortages, substitutions, and timing changes with global factories.
- Support Compliance on PFAS tracking and label/regulation updates.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Supply Chain Management, Apparel Development, or related field).
- 2+ years of experience in sourcing, production/manufacturing, or development.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Detail‑oriented and proactive communicator.
Preferred:
- Experience in apparel production, sourcing, materials, or supply chain.
- Familiarity with systems such as Power BI, Net Suite, Centric PLM, and Source Day.
- Accounting experience and knowledge of consumer goods products.
- Above‑average experience with data reporting tools and ERP systems.
