This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the sanitation shift.
- Manages plant personnel.
- Responsible for following and upholding all safety policies and procedures established for the facility.
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Prioritizes food quality and maintains food safety, through the vigilant application of company SSOPs, GMPs and the master sanitation schedule.
- Understands chemical usage, chemical titration, and chemical safety.
- Understands goals, yields, variances and calculations.
- Bachelor’s degree; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four to five years of progressive experience working with industrial food manufacturing equipment and chemical sanitation processes.
Skills: - Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Operating knowledge of computers, desktop software, and business systems.
- High School equivalency math skills.
- Must possess knowledge in the area of safety; including OSHA and other applicable federal and state regulations.
- Knowledgeable of food processing, HACCP, GMPs and sanitation preferred.
The pay range for this position is $70,386 - $98,541 per year.
