As Security at Broulim’s, you will be responsible for protecting the store, its assets, and its customers from theft, vandalism, and other security threats. You will monitor the premises, enforce store policies, and respond to security incidents to maintain a safe and secure environment for all.

• Respond promptly to incidents of theft, vandalism, and other security breaches, and take appropriate action to address the situation.
• Assist with the apprehension and detention of suspected shoplifters and other individuals involved in criminal activity.
• Coordinate with the Store Director and Safety Specialist to prevent and respond to breaches of safety within the store.
• Patrol the sales floor, parking lot, and other areas of the store to deter and detect suspicious activity.
• Greet customers and provide a visible security presence to deter theft and misconduct.
• Work closely with store management and human resources to investigate security incidents and report findings.
• Escort employees and customers to their vehicles upon request, especially during late-night hours or in high-risk situations.
• Provide assistance during medical emergencies, fires, and other emergencies by alerting emergency services and following established safety protocols.
• Complete written reports and documentation of security incidents, observations, and actions taken.

• Knowledge of security principles, practices, and procedures.
• Understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to security and loss prevention.
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment, access control systems, and other security technologies.

• Strong observation skills and attention to detail to detect and respond to security threats.
• Effective communication skills to interact with customers, employees, and law enforcement personnel.
• Conflict resolution skills to de-escalate tense situations and resolve disputes peacefully.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound judgments based on established protocols.
• Physical fitness and stamina to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, retail, or a related field preferred.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform other physical tasks as required.
