Data Engineer

Job Description

At a fundamental level, a data analyst collects data from various sources and then evaluates and interprets it using data analysis tools to provide meaningful information and insights that help businesses make more informed decisions. These can be decisions about any aspect of business, such as investments, cost savings, pricing, hiring, operations or planning – all of which can help create a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

• At least a relevant completed higher professional education
• Minimum 4-5 years demonstrable work experience as Data Engineering
• Has demonstrable consultancy experience and has worked as a Data Engineer with at least 3 clients
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in conceptual and dimensional data modeling
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience with cloud architectures
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience with Cloud (e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience with Scrum, Agile and Devops methods
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience with technologies such as Databricks, Spark Structured Streaming and Py Spark
• Experience in translating the functional and non-functional wishes of the user into suitable solutions
• Experience in analyzing source data and designing data models

As a Data Engineer Consultant, your primary task is to prepare data for analytical or operational use. You are responsible for building data pipelines to bring together information from different source systems. You integrate, consolidate, cleanse and structure data before it can be used in analytical applications.
