Forklift Driver – Georgia‑Pacific LLC

Join us as a Forklift Driver in our Rincon, GA facility to work in a high‑energy, dynamic organization.
Forklift Drivers will learn and apply equipment theory and operational processes. Pay for this position starts at $19.00 per hour
, with opportunities for development and growth within the company.

Our mill operates 24/7, 365 days a year. Forklift Drivers work a 12‑hour rotating schedule that includes holidays, weekends, and overtime. The schedule provides 14 days off every four‑week period. The work environment can be hot, cold, dusty, and noisy, and employees may encounter dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances.

The Savannah River Mill in Rincon, GA began operations in October 1986 and is considered a world‑class operation. Five of the world’s 12 largest tissue paper machines reside at the facility, and over 50 converting lines produce tissue, towel, and napkin products for retail and away‑from‑home markets.

• Operate mobile equipment at heights with various attachments; clamps, fork, prongs, etc., to move material and ensure a smooth production flow.
• Maintain high standards for quality and product safety in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
• Ensure equipment stays in a competitive state through troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
• Effectively communicate information to the team through verbal, written, and electronic means.
• Work in an industrial environment with occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, dirt, chemicals, and loud noise.
• Perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks throughout the 12‑hour shift.

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with others or as part of a team

• At least two (2) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
• At least one (1) year of experience operating machinery in a warehouse environment
• Experience driving a forklift
• Experience with SAP or another inventory management system
