DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician to conduct various highway maintenance services and other related tasks under close supervision. The role involves training in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance activities. Incumbents may require additional training or experience to gain full proficiency in some or all responsibilities. Tasks include cleaning and clearing culverts, mowing, clearing brush from roadsides, patching or repairing eroded pavements and, assisting in storm cleanup, repairing fences, sign repair, litter/debris removal, and emergency response.

• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Ability to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods ofli>
• Accurate eye‑hand coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and schedules due to workload or seasonal display.
• Ability to operate equipment used in highway maintenance.
• Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Ability to use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
• A high standard of work ethic and commitment toward work.
• Any combination of training or experience that would enable the applicant to perform essential job functions in maintenance of roadway activities.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Must have demonstrated training and/or experience to perform essential job functions in maintenance of roadway activities.
