We are currently recruiting for a talented Architectural Technologist in Fordingbridge to join an award‑winning AJ Top 100 architectural practice with studios across the UK, combining national expertise with strong local knowledge. The Fordingbridge studio works across an exciting and varied portfolio, with particular experience across Historic & Conservation, Hotels & Hospitality, Community, Care & Senior Living as well as Residential projects.
Project values typically range from £2m - £40m, providing the successful Architectural Technologist with the opportunity to work on a diverse range of technically challenging schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technologist with a strong technical background to join an established and collaborative team, working primarily on the technical delivery of projects from RIBA Stage 4 onwards.
You will work alongside experienced Architects, Technologists and Designers, with the wider practice providing opportunities to gain exposure to different sectors, project stages and specialisms. - Working as part of an established and collaborative architectural team
- Working across a varied portfolio of Historic & Conservation, Hotel & Hospitality, Community, Care & Senior Living and Residential projects
- Supporting the technical delivery of projects from RIBA Stage 4 onwards
- Producing and developing detailed technical drawing and construction information
- Using Revit and AutoCAD on a daily basis
- Reviewing, coordinating and developing technical packages
- Working closely with Architects, Designers, Consultants and other members of the project team
- Attending design team and project meetings
- Liaising with clients and other project stakeholders where appropriate
- Researching and developing effective technical solutions
- Ensuring designs comply with current UK Building Regulations and relevant industry standards
- Developing innovative, sustainable and commercially viable design solutions
- Contributing to the successful delivery of projects to a high standard, within agreed timescales and to budget
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Fordingbridge studio and wider practice
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience within an architectural practice or similar environment
- Strong technical knowledge and experience working across RIBA Stages 4 onwards
- Good proficiency in Revit is essential
- Experience producing detailed technical drawings and construction information
- Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction technology
- Strong understanding of technical detailing and specification
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider design team
- A proactive and progressive approach to career development
