Building Ventilation Solutions Ltd is a fast-growing, family-run HVAC engineering company specialising in air handling unit refurbishment, ventilation upgrades, controls work and bespoke AHU manufacture across the UK.
We work in a wide range of environments including hospitals, schools, leisure centres, retail sites, commercial buildings and industrial facilities.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated, practical and enthusiastic individual to join our team. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their engineering career who is keen to learn, travel, problem solve and develop within the building services and HVAC industry.
The RoleThis is a hands-on, varied position combining office work, site work across the UK.
You will work closely with experienced engineers and directors, learning how ventilation and air handling systems operate in commercial buildings, and how we diagnose, design and deliver practical engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the preparation of quotations, cost calculations and technical reports.
- Attending sites across the UK to assist with HVAC fault finding, surveys, refurbishment and repair.
- Learning how to assess air handling units, fans, ductwork and ventilation systems in live environments.
- Supporting the preparation of quotations, cost calculations and technical reports.
- Assisting with project management, coordination of ongoing works with the team, customers and suppliers.
- Customer relations and support.
- A strong interest in engineering, physics, problem solving and how things work.
- A willingness to learn and get involved in all aspects of the business
- Good communication skills and confidence speaking to customers on site
- A practical mindset and common sense approach
- Good understanding of maths, physics and English
- Highly self-motivated and organised
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Work Pattern:
Office based with regular UK site visits
- Any exposure to HVAC, building services or mechanical engineering
- Engineering qualification or apprenticeship background
- Real hands-on experience in the HVAC and building services industry
- Training from experienced engineers and directors
