Knights Brown is an independent civil engineering contractor delivering complex work across energy, water utilities, infrastructure, coasts & ports, and buildings. We are looking for a Site Engineer to join our team on our Wessex Water framework in Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire.
The projects involve complex upgrades to the existing water treatment works.
We require a Site Engineer who can confidently manage setting out activities whilst maintaining high standards of quality assurance and technical compliance.
What we’re looking for- Carry out accurate setting out for civil engineering works
- Establish and maintain site control points
- Produce, review and maintain QA documentation including ITPs, check sheets and as-built records
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with design specifications and project requirements
- Interpret engineering drawings and CAD information to support site delivery
- Liaise with subcontractors, supervisors and the wider project team to coordinate construction activities
- Monitor progress and contribute to short-term planning programmes
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safey, Environmental and Quality standards
- Support material management, site records and technical query resolution
- Understanding of water projects
- Strong setting out experience
- Good understanding of quality assurance processes and site documentation
- Competent in the use of CAD drawings and models
- Proficient with robotic and GPS total stations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS card
- HNC/HND or degree in civil engineering or a related discipline
