Night Nursing Role

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking to work nights only? Join our Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service Community Night Nursing team!

As a community night nurse you will deliver face‑to‑face care to adults referred by patients, relatives/carers or Healthcare professionals. You will provide autonomous nursing care with an HCA and work as part of a multidisciplinary team of nurses, paramedics and GPs.

• Drive IUCS vehicles across Dorset to visit community, residential or healthcare environments
• Provide direct care to patients in their own homes, including palliative care support
• Coordinate with the Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service visiting team and serve as the dedicated shift lead when required
• Assist with managerial and clerical duties at the St Leonards hub, including telephone triage and personal development reviews for junior staff
• Ensure medical instructions are understood, adhered to and recorded; maintain nursing equipment in good order

• Registered Nurse
• Full valid UK driving licence (required for car driving)
• Enhanced or Standard DBS check (cost covered by the Trust)
• Experience in an autonomous setting desirable but not essential
• Availability to work part‑time: either 34.5 hours per week (20:00‑08:00 over 3 nights) or minimum 23 hours per week (over 2 nights)
