Senior Accountant

Base pay range: $60,000.00/yr – $70,000.00/yr

Known for operational efficiency and a high-volume fleet environment, the company is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support daily financial operations and ensure accuracy across the general ledger. • Overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department, including accounts payable (AP) and general ledger (GL) reconciliations.
• Preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and laws.
• Coordinating and completing annual audits, providing recommendations for improving procedures and systems for initiating corrective actions.
• Assisting in budget preparation and expense management activities for future needs and investments.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures, ensuring the highest level of integrity and accuracy of financial data.
• Collaborating with financial staff to ensure the smooth operation of all finance matters, identifying and resolving financial issues and discrepancies.
• Keeping up-to-date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field, with a focus on AP and GL reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and experience with a software system implementation.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create and manage financial reports and forecasts.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
