Patient Financial Services - UPC

FTE: 0.05, PRN, Days shift

Assures that all admission, discharge and transfer functions interface to the command/FMS data systems. Ensures adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.

• Maintain canceled admission log, coordinating with UR and the Business Office; inform the Business Office of incorrect or duplicate accounts that have been issued.
• Complete the AM census and VIP list for distribution to administration.
• Monitor problems with the ACTION system and report same to DP.
• Train staff on the use of Harmony.
• Coordinate with budget department and area directors to keep census information current.
• Create and modify reports on SMS software, e.g., daily census, VIP list, OOCI log.
• Develop, oversee and conduct various routine and special audits, research and correct data to maintain integrity of programs.

Education: High School or GED Equivalent.

Experience: 3 years directly related experience.

Credentials: Not applicable / Not required.

Physical Conditions: Sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally; walking or standing briefly as needed.

Working conditions:

No or minimal hazard, physical risk, office environment.
