Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our healthcare team in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Location: 2400 Unser Blvd, Rio Rancho, NM 87124, United States
Pay Range: $27.92/hr – $47.53/hr (based on skills and experience)
Job Summary: As an RRT, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
Responsibilities- All Certified Respiratory Therapist responsibilities.
- Assist physicians with bronchoscopic procedures, monitoring patient status and administering IV conscious sedation.
- Initiate and manage ventilator protocols, including high‑frequency ventilators and nitric oxide delivery.
- Perform advanced airway care: tracheotomy changes, intubation, extubation, and emergency airway management.
- Provide NICU care: surfactant delivery, high‑risk delivery assistance, and high‑frequency ventilation.
- Optional procedures: transport team duties, intubation support, and backup charge therapist.
- Perform department‑specific functions as detailed in the summary of department duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Sign‑on and relocation bonuses available for qualified candidates.
- Shift differentials: nights $5.00, weekends $3.00.
- Preceptor differential.
- Additional differentials for higher education, certifications, and leadership roles.
- Career ladder program eligibility based on advanced certifications such as RPFT, CPFT, PFSCT, ACCS, RPSGT, etc.
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC).
- Respiratory Care Practitioner‑NM.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of critical‑care experience.
