POSITION SUMMARYThe General Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies. These Associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will be expected to perform all duties as assigned.
As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Picking Responsibilities
Use a pallet jack to accurately pick orders, stage them in the appropriate areas, and package, band, shrink wrap, and label products as required. All picking functions are performed according to Standard Operating Procedures. - Quality Control Responsibilities
Verify that all products and orders meet quality standards, report any damages or discrepancies, and perform packaging, shrink wrapping, and labeling as needed. All quality control functions are processed as defined by Standard Operating Procedures. - Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance
Execute all safety protocols, maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, and assist in facility security. Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards. - Equipment Operation
Operate equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Maintain equipment, report problems, and follow prescribed work methods. - Maintenance
Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned. - Other Duties
Perform other duties as assigned, work overtime as required, and work in unregulated temperature ranges.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures during the warmer and colder months.
- Language:
English (reading, writing, verbal). - Mathematical
Skills:
Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy; perform duties with minimal supervision; adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- 6 months experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.
- Current or prior MHE certification.
- Occasionally handle/fingering, sit.
- Frequently bend.
- Constantly walk and stand.
- Lift/Carry and Push/Pull 21-50 pounds; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.
The employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
