Presbyterian is seeking a Cook II to prepare hot food items for all areas of the department, including cold prep, grab and go, bulk production, and short order grill. The role requires preparation of food items as needed for menu cycles.

Three to five years experience in high volume food preparation and cooking in a hotel, restaurant, cafeteria, catering firm, government or private institution. Preference for five to ten years experience or internal candidates demonstrating competency in two or more kitchen stations.
Qualifications- High School or GED preferred.
- Three to five years experience in high volume preparation and cooking of food; five to ten years preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in at least two kitchen stations.
- Assist in the preparation of hot food items for all areas as indicated by menu cycles.
- Prepare preliminary food items for the next day as indicated by the menu cycle.
- Read production tickets and assist with routine cleaning and sanitation of areas.
- Assist with serving food items as indicated by established workflow.
- Demonstrate competency in knife skills and food service safety practices, including temperature control.
- Cook, plate, and complete dishes in view of and interacting with customers.
- Assist with fruit and vegetable preparation, food portioning, bulk food preparation, grab and go items, and other retail items.
- Take and fill orders verbally.
- Operate flat top grill, convection oven, deep‑fat fryer, quick‑cook ovens, and char broiler proficiently.
- Use various cooking methods including pan‑frying, sautéing, deep frying, boiling, baking, and roasting.
- Demonstrate customer service and communication skills with guests.
- Assists with other duties as needed.
