The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies. These Associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will be expected to perform all duties as assigned. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality.
Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.
- Pick orders using a pallet jack. Accurately pick, stage, package, band, shrink wrap, and label products as per client requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform quality control: verify products meet quality standards, report damages or discrepancies, and ensure all items are properly labeled.
- Execute safety protocols, maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility, and assist in warehouse security.
- Operate equipment (e.g., pallet jack) safely and maintain equipment, reporting any issues.
- Work overtime as dictated by business and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months (mild to moderate).
- 6 months experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Current or prior Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification.
- Handling/Fingering, Sitting – occasionally.
- Bending – frequently.
- Walking and Standing – constantly.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull 21-50 pounds. Reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel required.
During the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually low to moderate.
