Looking for a mechanical engineering role with more technical variety and interesting projects?
We're working with an established international engineering business delivering bespoke mechanical equipment and engineered solutions across the energy sector.
Due to continued growth, the company is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in piping design or pipe stress analysis to join its multidisciplinary engineering team.
You'll be involved in the design of piping systems, modular skids and associated mechanical equipment for projects spanning power generation, hydrogen, carbon capture and renewable energy.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and developing industrial piping systems and mechanical layouts.
- Producing or reviewing 3D models, general arrangements and piping isometrics.
- Carrying out pipe stress, flexibility and support calculations where relevant.
- Working to recognised international piping design standards.
- Collaborating with engineers, CAD teams and project stakeholders.
- Supporting technical design reviews and resolving engineering challenges.
What we're looking for
- A Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent international qualification.
- At least 3 years' mechanical design experience, or 6+ years for senior-level consideration.
- Experience in piping layout and/or pipe stress analysis.
- Knowledge of recognised piping software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, AVEVA E3D or CAESAR II.
- Understanding of piping components and relevant engineering standards.
You don't need to be an expert in every aspect of piping engineering. Experience in either design/layout or stress analysis can be suitable.
