Caretaker, Cleaning Services, Facility Maintenance

This Caretaker role sits in Vertas Group's Facilities Team at Dunham on Trent C of E Primary School. The post covers opening and securing the site, routine health and safety checks, basic maintenance and repairs, and daily cleaning of designated areas. It is an early-morning shift, 10 hours a week from 06:00 to 08:00 on weekdays, across 43 weeks a year, split between caretaking and cleaning.

The role requires a declaration of unprotected cautions and convictions alongside an Enhanced DBS check.

• Open and secure the school premises
• Carry out routine health and safety checks
• Undertake basic maintenance and repair tasks
• Monitor the condition of the building and grounds
• Support contractors and site visitors when required
• Complete daily cleaning across designated areas
• Keep the school site clean, safe and welcoming
