Position:
Level 2 Maintenance Technician

2nd

Shift: 5 PM to 5 AM Rotating schedule/alternating weekend schedule

The Level 2 Maintenance Technician is an advanced role requiring strong electrical and mechanical skills. This technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining both electrical and mechanical systems across the facility.



Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (motors, controls, PLCs, wiring) and mechanical systems.
• Perform advanced preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Install, modify, and upgrade equipment as needed.
• Lead or assist in root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Mentor and train lower-level maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with both electrical and mechanical focus.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and commitment to continuous improvement.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit or stand, and move about the facility for extended periods of time
• Frequent exposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes, and odors
• Contact the supervisor when issues occur that may affect quality and productivity.
• Promote good housekeeping, 5S, and safety practices in all activities.
• Must be able to perform all tasks assigned.
• Must have the ability to solve technical issues.
• Must have the ability to lift 65 lbs. unassisted.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high precarious places; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Operating manufacturing equipment is considered a "Safety Sensitive" function. A Safety-Sensitive Function, as defined by the Company, is one that requires the operation of motor vehicles, forklifts, or motorized warehouse equipment, or one that involves inspecting, servicing, conditioning, controlling, supervising, loading or unloading such machinery. Employees performing "Safety-Sensitive Functions" are prohibited from reporting to work or being on duty while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Salary: $33.55 - $33.55 per hour Seniority level
