Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

This role will assist the Operations Accounting team with core general ledger responsibilities, provide accounting support for complex business transactions, and contribute to the completion of the Komatsu America Corp. annual report. This assignment will ensure continuity in critical accounting functions while maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control standards.

• Perform daily accounting tasks including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Support month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Provide accounting support and guidance for non-routine or complex transactions such as integrations, reserves, or inventory adjustments.
• Conduct analysis to determine transaction impacts on financial statements.

• Work onsite with Ripley operations teams to provide financial guidance, resolve questions, and support project needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify process improvements and drive operational efficiency.

• Support preparation of Komatsu America Corp.’s annual financial statements, including disclosures and supporting schedules.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and SOX control documentation.
• Partner with global accounting teams to maintain consistency in application of accounting policies.
• Document and communicate accounting procedures to support sustainable practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting and/or financial analysis experience
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems (SAP experience preferred)
• Ability to work independently and interact effectively with non-finance stakeholders
