Ripon, North Yorkshire      Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am  5:00pm
The Opportunity      We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Ripon who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Senior to their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking a varied role within a supportive practice environment, with genuine opportunities for career progression and professional development.
The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, providing accounts preparation, tax compliance and bookkeeping services.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of statutory accounts for a wide variety of businesses, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Preparation and submission of personal and business tax returns.
Preparation and submission of VAT returns, including Making Tax Digital (MTD) compliance.
Bookkeeping duties for a portfolio of clients.
Liaising directly with clients and providing ongoing support and advice.
Assisting with client queries and maintaining strong client relationships.
Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
Payroll processing experience is desirable but not essential.
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
Proven experience preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Experience completing personal and/or business tax returns.
Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns.
Strong bookkeeping skills.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
Desirable

Skills & Experience:

Payroll experience.
ACA or ACCA studier, or an interest in pursuing further professional qualifications.
Experience using:
oSage      oSage 50      oSage Business Cloud      oXero      oQuick Books
