Mental Health Practitioner/Therapist
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing clinical team within Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in children’s residential care, education, mental health and learning disability services. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to provide therapeutic services to children and young people placed within Cambian Spring Hill School in Ripon, North Yorkshire.
Location & Working HoursRipon, North Yorkshire – full-time, 40 hours per week.
Salary: up to £46,178 per annum.
Responsibilities- Provide a therapeutic service to children and young people, assessing and identifying their needs and meeting them through consultation and training to residential and educational staff, direct therapeutic work, care planning and management in conjunction with the multi‑disciplinary team.
- Supervise, where experience allows, other Mental Health Practitioners, healthcare students and therapy assistants.
- Deliver specialist assessments and interventions, formulating and implementing plans of therapeutic intervention/management based on psychological understanding and evidence‑based practice, in collaboration with the wider MDT.
- Work closely with staff teams, providing consultation, training and ongoing support.
- An individual who is passionate about enabling children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
- Qualified therapist / mental‑health practitioner registered with a relevant professional body.
- Experience of working in CAMHS or a relevant mental‑health provision.
- Strong team player with excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
- Experience working in an education setting.
- Experience working with looked‑after children.
- Full support from a multidisciplinary team.
