Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Role Overview

The role of a Housekeeper is to deliver cleaning and catering services as part of the Hotel Services team to office, patient and communal areas within the Trust. You will help maintain a clean, safe and supportive environment for staff and patients, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and positive patient care.

• Provide and maintain cleaning and catering services for office, patient and communal areas.
• Ensure a clean, safe and supportive environment for staff and patients working towards recovery.
• Work as part of a multi‑professional team, thinking on the spot and demonstrating empathy.
• Apply cleaning techniques, use chemicals and equipment safely.
• Display a positive attitude and image when working with clients.

Part‑time (15 hours per week). Based at The Orchards, Ripon. Saturday 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.;
Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Flexible to work extra hours on short notice.

• Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 (or working towards successful completion).
• Experience in cleaning duties and use of chemicals and equipment.
• Experience working or volunteering in a mental health and learning disabilities setting.
• Ability to provide a positive approach when working with relevant client groups.
• Catering and food service experience beneficial.
• Numeracy, Literacy and IT Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grades 9–4 (A–C in old GCSE grading system)).
• NVQ Level 2 Housekeeping is desirable.
• Demonstrate commitment to undertake further training and qualifications.
