CNC Programmer​/Production Assistant

Econ Engineering Limited, the UK’s leading supplier of winter and highways maintenance vehicles, is experiencing continued growth and is seeking an experienced Offline CNC Programmer/Production Assistant to join our dynamic production team.

• NC Programming:
  Develop CNC programs for Bystronic laser and press brake machines using Bysoft Cam software to meet works order requirements.
• Lathe Programming:
  Create CNC programs for CNC lathes utilizing Autodesk Fusion software.
• MRP Management:
  Review and process weekly MRP (Material Requirements Planning) reports to generate works order prints and drawings for shop floor distribution.
• Technical Modifications:
  Implement and process technical modifications from the technical department to support product improvements.
• Time Sheet Management:
  Input and process weekly shop floor time sheets for our accounts department.
• Materials Management:
  Co-ordinate and issue steel requirements for all nested programs to the production team for ordering.
• Collaboration:
  
  Liaise effectively with the Factory Manager, shop floor supervisors, and laser, press, and machine shop operatives.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Demonstrate strong computer literacy with a solid understanding of Word and Excel. Familiarity with CNC machines is highly desirable.
• Technical Understanding:
  Read and interpret manufacturing drawings where required.
