This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated trainee to build a long-term career as a Robot Welder Operator, working with advanced automated welding systems in a busy engineering environment.

As a Trainee Robot Welder Operator, you will learn how to set up, run, and maintain automated welding robots used to produce metal components. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a mechanical or engineering qualification, or someone with welding knowledge.

Key Responsibilities (Training Provided)

Loading and adjusting welding programs

Positioning fixtures and setting tooling

Ensuring correct parameters before production runs

Observing robot movements and arc stability

Checking weld bead appearance and identifying anomalies in real time

Ensuring all finished parts meet engineering drawings and specifications

Addressing issues such as wire feed interruptions or gas flow problems

cleaning welding equipment and robot torches

replacing consumables (nozzles, liners, contact tips)

Completing daily safety and equipment checks

What We're Looking For

A mechanical or engineering qualification, or hands on welding experience

Ability to read and understand drawings

Basic knowledge of MIG or TIG welding (advantageous but not essential - training will be provided)

A practical mindset with strong attention to detail

Willingness to learn, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced production setting
