Location:

Compensation: $90K-$115K

Position Summary:
The Embedded Firmware Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining C-based embedded firmware that powers electronic controls for commercial-grade products. This hands-on role involves designing firmware solutions, validating functionality on prototypes, and debugging issues across manufacturing and production environments. The ideal candidate will be a strong individual contributor with expertise in embedded systems and peripheral communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test embedded firmware using C for commercial electronics.
- Interface with microcontroller peripherals such as UART, I2C, Client, PWM, EEPROM, etc.
- Collaborate with engineering labs to validate firmware on prototypes and production units.
- Debug and optimize firmware performance and reliability.
- Document and manage firmware updates via ECNs.
- Utilize Git and You Track (or similar tools) for source control and issue tracking.
- Support production and manufacturing teams with firmware-related troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.
- Strong experience with C programming and peripheral interfaces.
- Experience with Git and issue-tracking tools (e.g., You Track or Jira).
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with engineering documentation practices.
- Bonus:
Lua, Storyboard UI tools, or prior project management experience.
