Join our team as a Senior Corporate Applications Analyst within the Corporate Finance Department, ERP Business Operations Group
. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission’s enterprise financial systems by ensuring operational efficiency, data integrity, and technical accuracy.

This position provides both functional and technical support for the ERP finance system and related integrations, including system configuration, business analysis, data reporting, and troubleshooting. The Senior Corporate Applications Analyst serves as a critical link between business users, technical teams, and vendors, helping to optimize processes and enhance system performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

The Senior Corporate Applications Analyst provides end-to-end support for enterprise financial and integrated systems, combining business analysis, data expertise, and system configuration within a governed, audit-ready environment.

Business Analysis, Reporting & Stakeholder Support
  • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements; evaluate current- and future-state processes to identify automation, efficiency, and compliance improvements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports, analytics, and dashboards aligned with organizational goals and decision-making needs.
  • Act as a liaison between business users, technical teams, and vendors; translate technical concepts into business-friendly terms and deliver training and knowledge-transfer sessions for end users and administrators.
Data Analysis & System Integration
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and reconcile data across integrated systems (e.g., ERP, UKG).
  • Analyze data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and optimization opportunities; develop, automate, and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports using BI tools and advanced Excel.
  • Ensure data accuracy, testing, and documentation across systems and reports to support audit readiness and informed decision-making.
System Configuration, Testing & Change Management
  • Support and maintain ERP and enterprise application configurations, integrations, and enhancements in alignment with established governance standards.
  • Execute change control processes, including test script development, regression testing, and post-deployment validation of system updates.
  • Identify and assess risks related to system changes; maintain configuration, testing, and change documentation to ensure audit readiness and version control.
Working Conditions
  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
  • The role is largely sedentary but may require light physical effort.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential; the position may occasionally require overtime, after-hours, weekend, or on-call work.
  • The role may involve a high volume of work and tight deadlines during peak periods.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or any related field.
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis or related experience that includes experience with functional software applications (e.g., enterprise financial, supply change management system, human resources information system), which includes configuration maintenance, troubleshooting training and end-user support
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, which together total eight (8) years.
