This position reports directly to the Vice President of Quality Assurance/Quality Control and is responsible for managing and implementing quality control activities on-site.
Responsibilities- Control of documents and records, including nonconformance management and corrective actions.
- Develop and implement the project-specific Quality Plan.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand project scope.
- Lead the 3-Phase Quality Control process: preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.
- Collect and analyze inspection data, and maintain weekly logs.
- Manage discrepancy notices, CAPA, and project-specific issues.
- Oversee punch list processes and quality initiatives.
- Review engineering deliverables and coordinate with third-party testing agencies.
- Participate in ORM meetings, internal audits, and safety meetings.
- Perform receipt inspections and contract document reviews.
- Create detailed checklists and perform inspections to ensure quality standards.
- Resolve quality and commissioning punch-lists, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience in similar projects with a bachelor's degree, or 15+ years with a high school diploma/GED.
- Experience in QA/QC management or similar roles in construction projects.
- Knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC 3-Phase Quality Control System, especially on military/government projects.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and documents.
- Extensive QA/QC experience, preferred electrical journeyman license or apprenticeship graduate.
- Prolonged computer use and sitting.
- Manual dexterity, listening, reading, and communication skills.
- Leadership qualities: leading by example, team building, mentorship, results-driven, detail-oriented.
Pay Range: USD $149,840 - $224,760 per year.
