SUMMARY: The Credit Manager will support the management team with analysis regarding collecting the company’s accounts receivable and protecting the assets of the company. This position works with all sales, operations and branches within the business unit. The Credit Manager will report to the Director of Finance and direct reports will include the Accounts Receivable/Credit and Collections Team.
Within sales functions, the Credit Manager will work with and review monthly accounts receivable, credit and collections status and bring any credit risks/collections issues to the attention of upper management.

The Credit Manager will oversee all of the cash application and accounts receivable functions within the Corporate Finance department. The Credit Manager will bring an innovative and protective mindset to the firm’s assets and provide guidance and support to the direct reports within the department. This position requires an experienced, self-starter who is a creative thinker with a deep appreciation for the need to be clear, concise and accurate in communicating the results of detailed analyses.

The Credit Manager will utilize advanced skills in accounts receivable reconciliations, credit risk assessment, and collection skills in order to reduce the overall DSO of the organization and will provide insight to senior management with regard to long-term planning, decision making, and performance evaluation.

This is an on-site position at Camfil USA’s Corporate Office in Riverdale, NJ.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to those listed in the Summary section above, the following are duties necessary for the position.

  • Lead the department in the collection of all accounts receivable. Conduct analysis of certain key accounts as it pertains to payment history and issues. Coordinate progress payments and may develop payment plans for large past due account balances.
  • Promote an effective project / functional environment through the effective use of mentoring and coaching skills. Lead by example; demonstrating leadership attributes, depth/ breadth of knowledge and experience allowing for a wide range of project / functional guidance to the Accounts Receivable/Credit Department Team.
  • Assess current business practices and recommend best practices and processes. Drive positive change in process and procedure for better efficiency. Manage and develop processes and controls to ensure accuracy of accounts receivable data.
  • Prepare financial reporting information for upper management which includes Accounts Receivable “Over 90” aged analysis to provide insight into past due customer balances and the reasons for delinquent balances, Branch DSO by location and monthly updates on DSO development including accomplishments and challenges.
  • Provide timely responses to the frequent ad-hoc analyses needed by the corporate Director or VP of Finance. Anticipate needs based on analysis of current business trends, be proactive in monitoring strategic cash goals of the U.S. and develop alternatives in the face of challenging results.
