• Lead assigned Life Guidance programs and develop service plans.
• Offer adequate and diversified recreational activities to residents, ensuring sufficient supervision for each activity.
• Proactively involve all Life Guidance staff in planning and implementing the daily program, including activities of daily living.
• Plan individual birthday celebrations for each resident.
• Develop programs for residents, including programs for those confined to their rooms.
• Engage and motivate residents to participate in programs.
• Greet new residents, making a special effort to include and engage them in activities and introduce them to others with similar interests.
• Assist in planning parties and activities, and decorate the community seasonally and for holidays; plan monthly birthday parties.
• Support and actively participate in the community’s census‑building initiatives.
• Maintain records of all activities, resident participation levels, and acceptance of each activity as required by state law.
• Assist the Life Guidance Director in enlisting volunteers to aid the activities program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED, or one to two years of experience with an adult population developing and implementing activities and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of recreational therapy or activity programming methods and their application to residents with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
• Required certifications based on current state regulations.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
