As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at a local retail store, your role will support and oversee repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

$23.00/hr – $45.00/hr

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders from stores and store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by following Walmart’s refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights.

• 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• EPA Type I, Type II, or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a commercial HVAC/R and building controls field OR 4 years of such experience.

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
