Position: Shift Supervisor – KKD 859 Riverdale – Riverdale (Riverdale, UT)

Overview of Position:

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the entire shift and ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently in a Retail, Retail with Routes, and Heritage store.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the proper performance of all store activities
  • Training employees and ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively
  • Maintaining adequate staff in retail and production positions
  • Performing retail tasks as needed
  • Performing production tasks as needed, if applicable to store type
  • Ensuring customers are being cared for properly
  • Ensuring Production Specialists understand the production schedule for the day, if applicable to store type
  • Accessing the store’s safe and getting change as necessary
  • Ensuring Krispy Kreme security and cash handling standards and procedures are met and enforced
  • Locking doors and closing at night
  • Conducting store tours
  • Being knowledgeable of Krispy Kreme history, product, and current promotions
  • Modeling exceptional customer service skills for employees
  • Promoting a customer service-oriented atmosphere in the store
  • Filling customer orders accurately and quickly, including products, condiments, and change
  • Handling difficult customer situations professionally
  • Maintaining a pleasant and courteous demeanor
  • Exhibiting suggested selling behaviors such as: second dozens, up-selling other products, and up-selling in sizes
  • Knowledge and ability to execute all store functions
  • Answering the telephone in a timely manner and utilizing Krispy Kreme greeting procedures
  • Obtaining manager’s food safety certification
  • Other duties as assigned

Equipment Operation:

  • Operating the POS system per standards identified in the Krispy Kreme Retail Specialist Workbook
  • Operating other retail equipment, e.g. coffee and soda machines, in the proper manner
  • Operating drive-thru equipment (POS and headsets) to achieve an average drive-thru time of 30-45 seconds or less
  • Operating processing equipment while adhering to the company product standards identified in the Krispy Kreme Processing Specialist Workbook
  • Ensuring batteries are charged for drive-thru equipment
  • Operating production equipment
  • Valid driver’s license is required as needed to drive delivery trucks

Safety and Sanitation:

  • Maintaining a clean, neat uniform at all times and ensuring employees are also adhering to uniform standards
  • Handling products per procedures identified in the Sales Specialist Employee Training Manual
  • Utilizing proper cleaning techniques as identified in the Sales Specialist Employee Training Manual
  • Complying with sanitation standards

Related Skills:

  • Completing a processing schedule as needed
  • Must be able to perform all essential store functions

Leadership:

  • Acting as a team player through the standards identified in the Krispy Kreme Training Workbooks
  • Assisting in the training and development of Team Members
  • Handling customer and employee complaints or concerns professionally
  • Assisting management with staff scheduling and team-building
  • Supporting Managers with the training of new employees
  • Modeling company standards and policies consistently
  • Modeling exceptional customer service skills for employees
  • Assisting with the execution of corporate initiatives (i.e. Marketing, HR policies and procedures)

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must perform all related competencies outlined in the Krispy Kreme Shift Management Training Workbook
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience working with people and a history of dependability
  • Must have flexibility to work any day or shift as needed
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous job stability preferred
