Responsibilities- Assist in setting up new projects in Pronto/EBS, including contract documentation, administration, and fee and budget entry.
- Work autonomously on client invoicing and collections management.
- Collaborate with section and project personnel to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issues.
- Coordinate the project accounting system within the department and work with technical staff to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Provide detailed analysis and reporting on project or program status within the established system of project controls.
- Analyze, develop, and report on project controls duties such as baseline, work package agreements, cost control, cost estimation, earned value management (EVM), projections, variance analysis, schedules, and project or portfolio integration.
- Mentor junior project accountants as needed.
- Work with accounting members to document processes and internal controls.
- Operate within HDR’s Oracle EBS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Word, and Outlook.
- Associate degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling, and telephone skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑motivated, well‑organized, and detail‑oriented.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook.

The expected compensation range for this position is $71,000 – $102,000.
