Job SummaryWe are seeking a Buyer with procurement experience within the automotive sector or service/aftermarket sales. The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing and negotiating raw materials, electronic components, mechanical components, steel, engines, or wheels/tires. This role will require working with OEM supply chains, cost optimization, supplier management, and inventory control. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills are essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Procure materials ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery.
- Negotiate and manage supplier performance to achieve best value and schedule alignment.
- Oversee the RFQ process, procurement awards, purchase order creation, and goods receipt management.
- Work with the Aftermarket sales team to meet customer requirements and cost objectives, ensuring on‑time delivery.
- Leverage advanced Excel tools and ERP/MRP systems to analyze procurement data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience in procurement for production or aftermarket purchasing.
- Understanding of supply chain operations, contracts, and supplier performance metrics.
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management, Project Management, and production control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and familiarity with ERP/MRP.
- Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
- 2–4 years of procurement experience in a dynamic environment, preference for automotive procurement or aftermarket purchasing.
- Relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers in the automotive supply chain are desirable.
- Monday‑Friday, in‑office schedule.
- General office environment with occasional work on the plant floor.
- Up to 10% travel.
