Job DescriptionAs a Strategic Account Manager - Metals, you will plan and implement sales strategies for specific, existing major accounts. You will nurture customer relationships and identify opportunities for growth. Our strategic accounts typically have multiple locations, so you will maintain broad customer, distributor, and Rockwell geo team relationships. You will report to the Head of Mining, Metals & Cement - Americas and may work remotely from either Toronto, Ontario, Chicago, Illinois, or Cleveland, Ohio.
YourResponsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of strategic customer relationships either personally or through a medium to large team of account managers and domain experts
- Be an advocate of: C level relationships including IT/OT, Engineering, Operations and sustainability executives
- Secure digital operations practices
- Annual recurring revenue opportunities generation practices
- Be THE LEADER! Be the voice of customer, voice of Rockwell core values and influence to sell within various Rockwell levels
- Consult with a range of customer representatives at different levels of the organization to identify their outcomes
- Implement relationship management plans for complex customer accounts to build relationships with relevant decision makers at the customer organization
- Negotiate customer agreements in partnership with commercial colleagues
- Lead a collaborative internal team to configure a complex, tailored product and services solution for the customer
- Partner internally to develop new marketing plans and identify new growth opportunities
- Build a network of executives within the business sector to obtain market intelligence on industry trends and identify opportunities for expansion
- Build customer relationships and provide customer-centric solutions
- Apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to promote our goals
- Make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information
- Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments
- Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the needs of different audiences
- Build relationship networks inside and outside of our organization
- Relate openly with diverse groups of people
- See ahead to future possibilities and translate them into new strategies
- Use compelling arguments to gain the support and commitment of others
- Build partnerships and work with others to meet shared goals
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. or Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visa, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- A valid driver's license
- The ability to travel locally 50% of the time to customers
- 5+ years of experience in account management, technical sales, industrial distribution or an engineering firm
- Prior experience working with all levels of large-project customers to include: executives, management, plant engineers and machine builders
- Prior experience working in the heavy metals industry

For this role in the United States, the Total Target Compensation is from $158,000 to $237,000, with 60% base salary and 40% variable. Benefits for the US can be found on the company site.
