Client Services Specialist
UC Riverside’s Facilities Services is recruiting a Client Services Specialist.
Salary range: $32.74 - $52.32 per hour. The role is under the general supervision of the Director of Client Support Services.
- Serve as the designated point of contact for all incoming inquiries, work orders, and service requests from campus.
- Maintain knowledge of the Campus Guide to Services, Service Level Agreements (SLA), skilled trades, and general facilities services to interpret customer needs.
- Consolidate a high volume of service requests from various contact points (online work order system, phone, email, direct communication).
- Analyze service requests, prioritize and assign them, and ensure accurate funding before delegating work orders to appropriate units of Facilities Services.
- Manage the flow and follow‑up of inquiries to ensure timely response and escalation as needed.
- Collaborate with the Client Support Services team to drive timely work order intake and review, supporting KPI delivery to FS leadership.
- Manage the Client Support Services Student worker program, including recruitment, selection, training, daily guidance, and assignment of work.
- Provide communication support and issue emergency notifications to essential staff and campus customers.
- Maintain communication tools such as building distribution lists, and continuously review and update SOPs related to intake and customer support.
- Oversee day‑to‑day general office administration, including distribution of departmental mail, secure distribution of customer keys, support for facilities vendors.
- Perform other client service support duties as needed.
- Current work authorization to accept a UC Riverside staff position; UC Riverside is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for staff.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to manage a high volume of service requests.
- Knowledge of facilities services and experience interpreting customer needs.
- Ability to prioritize, assign, and track work orders and ensure accurate funding.
- Excellent communication skills, including issuing emergency notifications and maintaining building distribution lists.
- Ability to lead a student worker program, including recruitment, training, daily guidance, and assignment of work.
- Experience managing office administration tasks and supporting facilities vendors.
