Position OverviewThe Department of Psychiatry and Neuroscience is seeking Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists to support inpatient, outpatient, and mixed‑setting clinical practices across Riverside, San Bernardino, and the Coachella Valley at UCR Health clinics and affiliate sites. Physicians in this role provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy for children and adolescents, while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to ensure continuity of care.
Faculty will also have opportunities for teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
This is a Per Diem appointment. Per Diem Physicians are hourly paid appointees whose primary purpose is clinical service. These appointments have a variable schedule and cannot exceed 43%. Assignments may be pre‑scheduled or arranged as needed on a day‑to‑day basis, as determined by the University.
SalaryThe full salary range for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist is $100.00 – $225.00 per hour. However, the expected hiring pay scale for this position is up to $150 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Qualifications- Current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position.
- Must hold or be eligible for a license to practice psychiatry in the state of California.
- Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, including inpatient and outpatient settings.
As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
