Associate or Full Professor

The Division of Biomedical Sciences within the School of Medicine at the University of California Riverside seeks to hire faculty at the rank of tenured Associate or Full Professor. We are looking for accomplished biomedical researchers with active funded biomedical research programs in cancer, cardiovascular disease & vascular biology, computational biology, developmental biology, host-pathogen interactions, human physiology, toxicology or RNA biology.

Preference will be given to those individuals examining the molecular mechanisms of human disease who are committed to a collaborative approach to research, and who are experts in their specific disease models. The successful candidates will have a primary appointment in the Division of Biomedical Sciences (biomed.ucr.edu) and will be expected to teach in the medical curriculum and actively participate in the Biomedical Sciences graduate program.

• Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., Pharm
  
  D., or equivalent degree and qualify for a tenured faculty appointment at the University of California.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have a commitment to the UCR mission of providing routes to educational success for underrepresented and first‑generation college students.
• Preference will be given to individuals who examine molecular mechanisms of disease, who are committed to a collaborative approach to research, and who are experts in their specific disease model.
• Joint appointments in SOM Division of Clinical Sciences are available for candidates with active clinical practices.

• Demonstrated expertise in a specific disease model and a collaborative research approach.
• Active funded research program in a biomedical discipline of interest to the Division of Biomedical Sciences.
• A commitment to the UCR mission and to education of underrepresented and first‑generation students.
