Abbreviated Position Summary
The Biology Student Laboratory Teaching Assistant (TA2) assists the instructor with preparation & operation of laboratory classes whether in-person or virtual. The TA2 may provide instruction during the laboratory. The TA2 may be called on to assist with grading of laboratory assignments/quizzes and other clerical work related to the laboratory class experience. TA2 applicants must have taken and passed the course they would TA for with a grade “B” or higher.
The course instructor is the direct supervisor, and the person who makes the final hire decision.
The TA2 must be able to work a laboratory section for the full time the class lab runs on both days of the lab time slot, plus allow time for set-up, tear-down/clean-up, meetings with the instructor, grading and other operational activities related to the running of the lab.

• Must be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the Winter 2026 quarter
• Must be able to start work immediately if hired
• Must have taken BIOL
  306L within last 3 years and passed with a grade of B or higher or been previous TA2 for this course in last 3 years
