The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Riverside invites applications for a full-time Interim Postdoctoral Scholar position. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment. Competitive candidates will demonstrate a strong record of research excellence and possess expertise relevant to their intended area of specialization.
Preferred qualifications include experience in establishing molecular beams and their characterization using laser-based spectroscopy; proficiency in developing and maintaining high-vacuum systems; experience in designing and constructing high-voltage systems for investigating Stark broadening effects; a background in hyperfine spectroscopy; and a demonstrated ability to contribute effectively within collaborative research environments.

The Postdoc salary ranges from $69,073 to $82,836 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience, in accordance with University of California guidelines (see: .).
