Riverside Regional Jail is seeking a full-time Classification Technician to complete inmate risk assessments, classification and housing.
Duties include interviewing, classifying newly committed inmates, complete reclassifications as needed, complete facility relocations, maintain classification files with updates from courts and institutional activities, and perform other work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. and a valid Virginia driver’s license. Incumbent must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21-years of age, as well as be able to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Incumbent must not have been convicted of a felony. Experience in corrections, criminal justice or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience preferred but not required.
Full-Time: $50,107 – $71,194
