The County of San Benito, California is seeking a strategic, hands‑on, and collaborative Deputy County Administrative Officer (Deputy CAO) – Budget to lead the County’s budget function during a pivotal period of fiscal transformation. This newly created position is an exceptional opportunity for a driven public‑sector finance leader to stabilize, modernize, and strengthen a countywide budget program while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Supervisors.

The Deputy CAO – Budget will oversee end‑to‑end development and execution of the County’s annual operating budget, guide long‑range forecasting, implement improved systems and processes, and build consistent, cooperative relationships across departments. The County will face a structural deficit in the coming fiscal year, and will need to develop both short‑term and long‑term strategies for fiscal integrity and revenue growth.
