  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing complex administrative work including accessing and entering information into computer systems and databases.

  • Satisfactory completion of a POST-certified, 80‑hour Basic Complaint/Dispatcher course within 12 months of the date of hire.

Demonstrated ability handling difficult, sensitive and confidential situations tactfully; accessing and updating various indexes. Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload, high call volume, interruptions and competing priorities and requirements;

utilize excellent interpersonal skills while working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues; maintain cooperative working relationships; model and promote the University's principles of community and commitment to diversity and inclusion; and work rotating shifts and/or holidays with changing days off in a 24‑hour/7 day operation.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in the use of computers and computer applications, i.e., word processing, computer‑aided dispatch systems and Internet applications.

Knowledge of UCR campus locations.
