Job Summary And Qualifications- You will oversee the daily operations of the Medical Staff Services Department, maintaining effective and efficient systems to support the organized medical staff as mandated by the Hospital’s Board of Trustees, including staff development and evaluation and the on-going monitorship of departmental systems.
- You will be accountable for establishing, contributing, and implementation of standards applicable to medical staff members relating to credentialing, quality improvement, and administrative functions.
- You will comply with all regulatory standards, providing consultative expertise to the Medical Staff and hospital leadership on options and permissible actions in order to meet those standards.
- You will arbitrate issues between physicians and the Hospital that are confidential, sensitive and controversial.
- You will supervise a professional support staff in administering all aspects of the medical staff services functions.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate Degree or higher preferred.
- At least three (3) years previous medical staff credentialing experience required.
- HCA Healthcare credentialing and Cactus experience preferred.
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/ or Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred.
