The Emerging Talent INVEST Program (ETIP) – Guardian Pathway is a 9‑month paid, fully remote, entry‑level immersive learning experience designed to give recent graduates real‑world exposure, personalized coaching, mentorship, and a clear, long‑term career path in one of the U.S.’s best industries.

How You’ll Make An Impact What will you do?

Over the course of the 9‑month program you will be partnered with a team of peers and experienced Training Specialists. You will alternate between self‑study modules, virtual classroom‑style learning, guided training modules, and hands‑on application of the knowledge gained. You will progressively increase your hands‑on experience to immerse yourself into the world of claims management and client service excellence under the mentorship of program mentors.

What

can you expect?
  • Participate in structured learning: instructor‑led sessions, online modules, job shadowing, and mentorship focused on foundational insurance knowledge, claims operations, and state‑specific workers’ compensation regulations.
  • Shadow claims experts and observe best practices in managing lost time (indemnity) workers’ compensation claims.
  • Practice in a simulated environment (“sandbox”) to build confidence before handling actual cases.
  • Complete program milestones to achieve key learning objectives and performance checkpoints.
  • Collaborate and network with peers, mentors, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Gradual claim ownership: begin handling new workers’ compensation claims starting in week 3 of the program, with incremental portfolio growth.
  • Support claims management: apply training to real‑world scenarios, including benefit calculations, wage loss evaluations, and return‑to‑work considerations.
  • Claims analysis and learning: analyze medical documentation, regulatory guidelines, and state‑specific regulations.
  • Stakeholder communication: engage professionally with clients, provide support to injured employees, and secure key details from providers.
  • Client service instructions & carrier guidelines: interpret and apply guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Reserving acumen: develop skills in setting and adjusting reserves based on claim detail analysis.
About You Education

Bachelor’s degree or 4‑year degree from an accredited institution preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree will receive preferential treatment; others with proven experience will also be considered.
