- Plan, organize, and manage daily distribution/warehouse operations to meet service level and cost targets
- Supervise, train, and evaluate staff; manage scheduling and labor planning
- Oversee inventory accuracy and stock control processes
- Coordinate with transportation/logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs): order accuracy, on-time shipment rate, etc.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations; enforce safety protocols
- Identify and implement process improvements using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
- Manage relationships with carriers, and third-party logistics providers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, Account Manager, and customer service teams to align distribution capacity with demand
- Maintain and optimize use of warehouse management systems and ERP tools
- Handle escalations related to shipping errors, delays, or inventory discrepancies
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field required
- 5–10 years of experience in distribution, warehousing, or logistics operations
- 2–5 years in a supervisory or management capacity, ideally overseeing a team or facility
- Demonstrated experience with WMS/ERP systems (JDE)
- Experience managing budgets and P&L responsibility
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Data-driven decision-making and KPI/analytics proficiency
- Proficiency in Excel and warehouse/ERP software
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially under time pressure
- Knowledge of safety compliance standards (OSHA)
- International shipping/customs knowledge (for global distribution)
