About the Role
As the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), you will provide exceptional procurement and business contract services to the entire campus. The CPO reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor‑Business & Financial Services (BFS) and has a dotted line to the Vice Chancellor of Planning, Budget & Administration (PB&A), and is part of the BFS Leadership team.
ResponsibilitiesThe position leads the Procurement Service and Business Contracts areas, guiding strategic planning and day‑to‑day management with support from two managers for Goods and Services. You will partner with the Vice Chancellor of PB&A on campus‑wide procurement initiatives, develop value‑added business processes, enable an efficient procure‑to‑pay flow, optimize cost savings, manage procurement card programs, and facilitate the business contract programs.
QualificationsApplicants must have current work authorization to accept a UCR staff position; sponsorship of an employment Visa is not available. You will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
CompensationFull salary range: $126,700 – $248,700 annually. Expected pay scale up to $195,000 annually.
