- Apply nursing innovation methods, evidence-based practice, and technology in collaboration with the service director.
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing leadership and clinical practice.
- Collaboratively work with the service director to implement unit goals and objectives in alignment with the service’s mission and vision.
- Develop staff to grow clinically and professionally and establish standards, communicate expectations, and hold nursing staff accountable for performance and behavior.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and support services; analyze outcomes and ensure corrective actions are taken as appropriate at the unit level.
- Serve as a resource to staff in your unit and shift, and to other units as needed.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school; BSN required, MSN preferred.
- Valid California RN license required.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- National RN certification preferred.
- Minimum two years in an acute care management position in surgical services required.
- Strong working background and experience in the Main OR in an acute care setting required.
