• Apply nursing innovation methods, evidence-based practice, and technology in collaboration with the service director.
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing leadership and clinical practice.
• Collaboratively work with the service director to implement unit goals and objectives in alignment with the service’s mission and vision.
• Develop staff to grow clinically and professionally and establish standards, communicate expectations, and hold nursing staff accountable for performance and behavior.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and support services; analyze outcomes and ensure corrective actions are taken as appropriate at the unit level.
• Serve as a resource to staff in your unit and shift, and to other units as needed.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school; BSN required, MSN preferred.
• Valid California RN license required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• National RN certification preferred.
• Minimum two years in an acute care management position in surgical services required.
• Strong working background and experience in the Main OR in an acute care setting required.
