The nursing department has an opening for a Part Time Interim Registered Nurse at our Emo Health Centre. The successful candidate must be able to meet the normal requirements of the job and possess the following qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY- Current Certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), preferred
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS)
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), preferred
- Certification in Emergency Nursing through CAN, preferred
- Graduate of recognized ICU program acceptable to the Corporation
- Demonstration of strong nursing practice, skill and judgement
- Demonstrated critical thinking, leadership and mentoring skills
- Exhibits the ability and competence to work with all computer systems and applications
- Exercises behaviours consistent with Riverside Health Care’s Code of Conduct
- Willing to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights and weekends
- Demonstrates Riverside Health Care’s Core Values;
Integrity, Respect, Excellence, and Growth - Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skill with the ability to function effectively independently, within a team, with frontline personnel, and management
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast paced healthcare environment with excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Dependable with a verifiable acceptable attendance record
- Proven ability to perform the essential duties of the position on a regular basis
- Provide and coordinate nursing care to assigned clients, patients and residents consistent with current Standards of Professional Practice with the Ontario College of Nurses
- Function as a staff nurse or team leader
- Accept shift rotation and assignments on other nursing units in accordance with staffing needs
- Delegate, supervise and evaluate patient care of the RPNs and HCAs
- Carry out all work assignments safely and be knowledgeable of and in compliance with relevant acts, regulations, policies and procedures
- Familiar and in compliance with occupational health & safety workers’ rights and responsibilities
- Such other duties as may be delegated by the manager or supervisor
- This position may work a combination of 8 and 12 hour shifts
- This Part-Time Interim position will commence:
November 21st, 2025 and end approx. May 21st, 2027
