Titration of drips, neuro mgt (NIR), Trauma exp, trach care, Non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, Chest drainage, thoracentesis, urinary catheter insertion, dialysis (SLED), EVD, CRRT exp.
Must have : ACLS, BLS, NIH, Greater than 1 year experience in ICU
Advanced skills needed: A-line mgt, CVC mgt, Cardiac monitoring, pulmonary artery catheter mgt, lumbar drains, EVD mgt
Procedures performed on unit:
Chest tube insertion, Tracheostomy, Bronchoscopy, Intubation
Certifications
Required:
ACLS, BLS, NIH
Unit Specifics:
· Number of Beds : MICU-35 , SICU-34
· Patient Ratios : 1:2, 1:1
· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 1 secretary SICU, 1 PCT in MICU
· Type of equipment :
Tele monitor, EV1000, bladder scanner, vents,
· Documentation system:
Meditech
· Scheduling requirements: three 12-hour shifts
· Floating policy:
Tele, Step-down, ICU
